As an Associate Business Transformation Consultant (BTC) at IBM, you'll work right at the intersection of technology, people, and process, helping our clients transform how they adapt to shifts in the market, and more closely align their business strategy and vision. You'll help clients understand leading technologies and the impact they can have on traditional business processes, as well as an opportunity to build a powerful portfolio of interesting and rewarding experiences. In your role, you may be responsible for: Learning and encouraging the use of the IBM Technology & Red Hat portfolio of software in the AI, Data, Automation, or Cloud space. Projecting business values of a solution in client-relevant terms and driving adoption of the KPI impact with key client stakeholders. Developing communications tailored to specific audiences while working in an agile, collaborative environment. Using IBM's Design Thinking to help solve clients' challenges and analyze data to support conclusions and strategies. Key Responsibilities Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify trends, providing clients with actionable insights to enhance marketing, operational, and business practices. Client Collaboration: Work with project team to prioritize and translate client requirements and define current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans, and solutions). Work collaboratively with client and the architect to ensure proper translation of business requirements to solution requirements. Determine and present best use cases for IBM Technology and Red Hat solutions to meet client requirements. Presentation of Insights: Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly and concisely, demonstrating the value of data-driven decision-making to clients. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to tackle complex business problems, utilizing your data expertise to drive innovative solutions. Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in the modern data stack, bringing new ideas and best practices to the team. Consulting Skills Works with clients to advocate business process transformation, analyzes the application portfolio across ecosystem to understand the opportunity to engage IBM’s Automation, AI/Data, and Red Hat solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to ask questions, seek to understand, and recommend solutions. Curious and eager to learn new skills, with the ability to adapt to changes easily. Planning capabilities with an understanding of basic project management skills and Agile methodology. Strong teamwork orientation, contributing positively to a collaborative environment. These positions are anticipated to start in 2027. We have positions open in these locations: RTP/Durham, North Carolina. Ability to understand clients' needs and challenges and apply creative and logical approach to identify solutions. Ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply by listening actively and conveying difficult messages in a positive manner. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ability to apply logic to solve business problems through a detailed analytical approach. Ability to learn new technologies and effectively communicate the benefits they can provide to enterprise clients. Prior exposure to one or more of the following domains: AI, Machine Learning, Data, Statistical Analysis, Automation tools, Cloud software. Skills: Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, Understanding client needs, Project outcomes, Business management, and/or Computer science. Willingness to travel 100%, based on project requirements. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Math, MIS, Engineering) or related fields. A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view, using strong quantitative analysis skills and the ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in an environment with conflicting demands ideally in key business areas such as Operations/Supply Chain, Manufacturing.
