As an Associate Application Consultant at IBM you will help us usher clients into a new age of future-looking technology. You'll be assisting clients in the selection, implementation, and support of applications, methodology, and tools. You'll be trained up to perform as an expert on existing and/or new applications specialized around things like Cloud, Blockchain, DevOp, Enterprise Applications, and Mobile. You will help our clients integrate enterprise-wide data for improved performance and efficiency. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed. Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio, including IBM’s Software and Red Hat. In your role you may be responsible for: Researching the client organization and industry value chains. Drawing from primary and existing IBM research on evolving market trends. Identifying issues, creating hypotheses, and executing analysis, to develop decision-ready recommendations for our clients. Research on the health of the company compared to their competition in their industry. Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and ability to derive recommendations informed by data and insights. Powerful communication and storytelling skills, with an ability to communicate complex situations clearly and simply. Ability to apply logic to solve ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions. A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively in an intense team environment, able to build direct working. relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams. Exposure to tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, Open Ai, or similar AI assistants to research, write, analyze, and improve productivity, while applying critical thinking and validation. Preferred majors: Computer Science, MIS/IT, Computer Engineering, Data Science, SW Engineering, or related fields. Passion to understand the applications of emerging technologies and adapt modern approaches and innovative solutions to client problems. Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep analytical skills to ensure recommendations are informed by data and insights. Highly resilient with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, meet deadlines, and share/incorporate feedback. Experience in Operations areas such as HR, IT, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing. Sales and marketing and/or Finance.
